Don Bosco Tech (Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh) organized Parents Meeting on February 20, 2019. At the time of assembly, all parents were gathered at the centre; and they were welcomed by Rev. Fr. Thatireddy Vijayabhaskar (Provincial, Hyderabad Province), Rev. Fr. Santhigo Thomas (Vice Provincial, Hyderabad Province) and Rev. Fr. George (Centre Head, Don Bosco Tech) along with the centre staff. Mr. Hyder Basha (Trainer, Hospitality Domain) addressed the gathering and shared the objective of the parents meeting.

Fr. George interacted with the parents and explained about the Don Bosco Tech’s skill training programs and how the trainees are going for job placements. At that time, he requested all the parents to encourage their children to go out of the home town to get better jobs to sustain well in the family. He also distributed the certificates to the previous batch trainees for successfully completing their training.

Addressing the parents, Fr. Vijayabhaskar started his valuable speech with motivational stories; and shared about Don Bosco Tech programs across India. He shared his experience with Kurnool centre and the trainees passed out from Don Bosco Tech (Kurnool). He remembered the trainees who come to Hyderabad and earning 20k per month with short term training provided by Don Bosco Tech. He congratulated all trainees, who are enrolled in present batches. He also suggested parents to visit Don Bosco Tech centres, whenever they will have free time.

Fr. Thomas Santhigo started his speech by explaining about the impact of the short term training programs and explained about the difficulties and ground realities of the workplace situations etc. He appreciated the staff for providing the skill training to the dropout youth since they are the key persons in the entire programs.

Then all the parents were invited to visit the centre i.e. classrooms, practical labs, activity classes, dormitories, etc. And they are really happy after getting a first-hand information because of their children having training in such a well-equipped centre.
